Location was perfect for all York attractions/shops/restaurants
Very small room and bathroom- lack of surface space not great value for money
Also breakfast selection was limited

Everything! The location was perfect - easy access to York Minster and city center. The rooms are unique and very comfortable. Every single staff member was very friendly and helpful. Special shout out to John for helping with all of our questions and bags. Dan, our server in the bar, was great too. Amazing history as well!
There was nothing I didn’t like. Everything was perfect for our stay.

The location is incredible not just proximity to the city but the building itself. It is a wonderful old property. Staff were friendly but also genuine. Their high levels of customer service were completely natural. Bedroom was clean and the bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in
There is only a limited selection for breakfast but it is a small hotel so they presumably wish to avoid wastage. I would have liked there to have been more self serve options.

Excellent staff and excellent breakfast,
Although the room was large with some nice period furniture it lacked atmosphere
The bathroom had very limited toiletries
No fridge
