We were made to feel welcome as soon as we entered the hotel. Sraff were extremely helpful and attentative. Location to York city centre was perfect.
Food was good, but not quite value for money.

Close to the Old Town, staff very helpful
I specifically booked this hotel as it had parking available. I assumed it would be free since it's at the hotel but for an overnight stay I was charged £25

The staff members were first rate. They were so helpful, from taking care of our luggage until we could access our room to providing a most delicious breakfast. Their attention to detail and their friendliness was very much appreciated.
The room was clean and everything we needed was provided.
The only improvement that could be made is to sort out a very loud noise in the water system which woke me up when someone ran water or maybe took a shower in another room at around 6 am.

The staff were excellent. The room was well appointed and very clean. The location was also very central, with an excellent view of the river and Minster.
The incredibly loud music coming from a pub directly across the river from our room. The music started just as we were trying to sleep and went on until about one in the morning. Realise it’s not the hotels fault, but the hotel soundproofing is non existent. We were there for a chilled anniversary break, it was definitely not that, the whole room was vibrating.
The breakfast was very mediocre.
