The Hotel was very modern, I upgraded to a junior suite was was very nice, wonderful view, clean and very comfortable. It also passed the smell test, with the room airy and not smelling of dust as many hotels do. The location was excellent near the SEC, although the roads are very busy. The food was of a high quality and tasty. The ensuite was clean and modern, the bed was very comfortable. I liked that whilst the hotel was busy, the lifts were really responsive and fast.
Upon arrival, the check in desk was very deep, with the staff standing over 1 metre away on the other side, it felt quite impersonal, and not very private. Whilst the staff were very friendly, they didn't seem to act with any urgency; with the exception of the elderly lady at breakfast, she was lovely. My biggest issue was the parking, using the APP you only had the choice of 8hr, 12 hours or 24 hours. I was staying for two days, but most of the day I was parked at the SEC, I still had to pay for 2 x 24 hours, which at £25.50 is quite pricey. The room, whilst excellent, really could have done with a desk to work on, the table that was there is great for food, but not really a business vibe. Whilst the food was of a high quality, the menu was very limited, focusing on versions of fast food, so pizza, fish and chips, curry etc. In a restaurant, I want proper meals, and as I am there for business, nothing garlic or spicy for obvious reasons. The first meal there I had a dessert, a Toffee Sticky pudding sundae, it was exceptional, with creamy ice cream, plenty of strawberries slices and blueberries. I had the same dessert the next night, no blueberries, only a few strawberry slices, and the Ice cream was freezer burnt and had recrystalised, so that was disappointing. Finally, it was disappointing that room service was limited to Pizza, I often prefer to eat in my room, but choice limited to pizza, was such that this wasn't possible. The hotel has a very young vibe and so perhaps I am not their demographic.

Staff were the best. We didn't arrive until stupid late, and kept getting later so we were worried we would be to late to check in. Contacted the hotel and the lovely gentleman on reception said he would have our key waiting for us, which he did. This is the second time we've stayed here, and would definitely stay again.

The location was great, we knew that already though. Close to the hydro and perfect if you want an easy commute to whatever gig/show you’re going to. Room was a good size and perfectly clean.
Poor information on line regarding parking, it has now been taken over by Ringo parking and costs £25.50 for 24hrs, the rate below that is for 15hrs, which really isn’t long enough, poor access to the very highly publicised sky bar, you can only access via a separate lift from the reception, not great to find this out after climbing up 9 floors, my wife has a deep fear of lifts so wouldn’t get in a lift normally never mind when it’s jam packed with guests, so if you have a lift phobia I suppose you could ask about alternative access but I’m not sure when it’s busy if that would even be an option. The flooring in the bedroom was almost industrial, which was not very nice to walk on
