Our room was lovely. The breakfast and dinner were amazing!
There was almost always a long wait for one of the three private baths. We only got to use it once. I wish there was a way to reserve a time slot instead of having to show up only to find out that the baths were occupied and there were already three groups in front of you.

The most traditional stay of our entire trip. Facilities were great. Public and private bath an experience. Dinners were great. Location very convenient to explore the area.
Personally I don’t like having to wait around for dinner, luckily waiting time was minimal. Private bath system was confusing among both Japanese and international tourist, which caused a few awkward situations, perhaps a clearer systems and English translations could help.

Beautiful area and right next to Gora Station. The facilities inside felt authentic and the staff really take care of you every step of the way. They helped us with luggage forwarding which was absolutely easy on property.
Nothing, it was great. Wish I could’ve stayed longer.

Location is great, right next to the Gora station (start of the Hakone ring)
Room was big
In-room bath is nice material and with a nice view (but see negatives)
In-room bath was not clearly mentioned that is NOT a natural onsen water one but just a normal bath
Dinner and breakfast could have been better
Private natural onsen are super small and to go there it's overcrowded, so had to use the public ones
