Breakfast was great, and the bed comfortable. Staff were excellent and very helpful.
A bit threadbare in places, maybe approaching its refreshment date for carpets etc. so this may be entirely different in the near future.
There was a room service tray left in the corridor for at least 12 hours, which I found a little odd.

We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the breakfast. Apart from one issue, everything was very good.
The night guard unexpectedly asked us for a €250 deposit, without clearly explaining why. We were told the next day that we had to raise the issue then; otherwise, the deposit would not have been released. That was an unpleasant experience.

The view of the canal was perfect. The location and walkablility was amazing.
That there wasn't another entrance to the hotel closer to the street. (Second exit or entrance). But it didn't bother me to much.

location and staff
Have stayed at your hotel several times over the last few years and no longer a 4 star hotel.
Rooms are worn particularly carpet and bathroom caulk.
