Excellent food and service.
Nothing springs to mind.

Tour of castle and history
Peacocks freely roaming around grounds
Sofa in room lacking any stuffing and not confortable

It was a historic castle. Loved the grounds, the peacocks, and in particular the guided tour. Location was ideal for our plans (Vindolanda, Hadrian’s wall, Hexham sightseeing).
Would prefer a shower room, not shower-over-bath, which feels old-fashioned. TV could be up-graded. Music in breakfast room.

Very large bed
Castle grounds
Shout out to Lucy and Mark - thanks for your help during our stay with my disabled Mother.
Very old pancake flat pillows - not what you expect from a 4 star hotel ( or even 3!)
No sky tv - that’s a fib - and tv dud mothers throughout our stay. No evening reception staff were willing to help resolve.
Bedrooms in need of an update - furniture too much of it and dated!
Decent hairdryer
Better coffee facilities - instant coffee is disappointing in a 4 star.
Some managerial staff were off hand when checking out which was a shame
You can hear every move from upstairs bedroom (in castle view not castle rooms)
