The stunning view and comfortable room. The staff were v friendly and efficient.
The breakfast ( porridge and cooked breakfast) were lukewarm and the duvet in our room was too heavy.

Stunning location
There was nothing that we disliked, but we had just spent 2 weeks in wonderful hotels around Scotland, and this was not at the same level.

The room was lovely. Service in the bar and the orangery was good. Food in the orangery was very good.
Service was very patchy. We arrived half an hour before check in but there was no attempt to see if our rooms were ready. We left our luggage to be stored and then when we returned they initially gave us the wrong bags. Breakfast service was dreadful, I was brought the wrong items on both days. The whole building was incredibly hot, I had to turn off my radiator and open a window to be comfortable.
