We love staying at the Tower/City, as its location is great for the tube, and walking to the Tower of London, and along the Thames, with the river taxis as well. Good restaurants all with walking distance, plus the Hotels has a good restaurant too. The weather forvthe weekend was amazing. Thevstaff are truly amazing and accommodating, special thanks to Boris, and Ash for looking after us, as to ensure we could store our bags before leaving,
Nothing.

I'm coming back every year at the same time so they probably doing something right... The lobby is modern and comfortable, the bar is beautiful. The rooms are big and comfortable, most of them got a big tub. The breakfast is rich, great variety. One of the best you can get in a hotel.
I usually get an upgrade to my room, that's why I booked the executive room, because I knew it from the upgrade. This year I wasn't upgraded, which is fine, but the executive room I got wasn't as good as the one I had last year which was on the other wing. So there are differences. The one thing I do complain about every year, is those wobbly elevators that makes you feel like they're gonna get stuck any second. This year one of them actually did, and it made some human traffic jam in the morning.

There was also a lot to appreciate. The saunas were good and the pool was pleasantly long. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The gym was well equipped, and had I known, I would have packed my sports clothes. The location is undoubtedly one of the best in the area. The rooms were clean, and the selection of coffee and tea in the room was very good. When we ran out of coffee, the housekeeping staff were very helpful and brought more straight away. Their warmth stood in clear contrast to our experience at reception.
My son and I stayed at your hotel during his school holiday, and unfortunately our stay got off to a disappointing start. At check-in we learned that our booking did not include breakfast. I had specifically chosen your hotel because it was a slightly higher-priced option that, as I understood it, included breakfast. I accept that this may be an issue with Booking.com rather than with the hotel itself, but the way the situation was handled at reception left a lasting impression. From that moment on, the staff seemed negatively disposed towards us. The first room we were given was on the fourth floor, facing the wall of the metro station. The view itself was not the main problem, but the noise from the metro came straight into the room. It was also a family room with a connecting door to the neighbouring room, and we could hear every word our neighbours said. When we went to reception to raise our concerns and asked whether we had been given the cheapest category of room, the room was changed, but the attitude of the staff remained far from friendly. Sadly this continued throughout our stay. Even when we paid extra on several days to add breakfast for the following morning, the reception staff did not smile and treated us coldly. The spa was another slight disappointment. After a long day of sightseeing we would have loved to relax there, but there were only a few loungers and all of them were occupied. Coming from Estonia, where we are used to very good spa facilities, perhaps our expectations were high for a city centre hotel.
