The historic & contemporary mix. Very comfortable lobby seating, loved the coffee, tea & afternoon cake! The breakfast& dinner buffets offered lots of choices & was delicious.
The only negative comment was that we did not have enough light in our bathroom by the mirror.

We stayed twice, before we boarded the Havila Ferry and afterwards. We had breakfast, dinner, as well as enjoyed the afternoon tea one of the days. They provided gluten free options, and had a variety of foods during both meals. This was the most comfortable room we stayed in during our time in Oslo and Bergen. We did not like the view into the courtyard the first stay but the corner room facing the water was lovely. Both rooms had the most comfortable bed and linens of our stays in Norway. They also had heated towel racks and room to hand your clothes, a desk and chair. The hotel was recently renovated so kept all its charm plus modern comforts. I would only book this hotel if I return to Bergen. Communications with management was also excellent.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would recommend the bed and breakfast stay as the breakfast is good. We stayed half board and this was disappointing. The food was very basic, no desserts or drinks and no staff present except one person clearing tables. This board basis was functional rather than enjoyable.
