Clean room with a comfortable mattress. Centrally located to walk around and see the major sites.
They put us on the 3rd floor and we had a lot of luggage. Unfortunately, the elevator only goes to the second floor, so we had to drag our heavy bags up and back down.

The room was smaller than expected, but clean and a great bed-very comfortable. The location is excellent if you want to walk to all of the sights. I especially liked the separate guest lounge downstairs.
Only had a deep bathtub/shower combination in the room. If you have any mobility issues, not ideal.

Central for the Castle.
We booked a superior £oom which was super, except we were not told that it was up a load of steep stairs, my wife is beginning to have trouble coping with stairs…

"A great hotel in a great location on the edge of the Grassmarket. Very quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Would highly recommend and would stay again."
