I was in "The Cottage" andI loved it. I had dinner at the hotel four times and the food and service were both wonderful. The hotel is in the perfect location for exploring this area of Northumberland. In particular I enjoyed visiting Warkworth and Alnwick Castles nearby, Banburgh Castle a little way up the coast, the wonderful Barter Books shop in Alnwick and the Flodden Battlefield a little further away. The almost deserted beached along the Northumberland Coastal Route are amazing.

I love Warkworth and WHH is at the heart of the village. The historic nature of the building is well presented and the furnishings are comfortable.
Our room was to the front of the hotel and the road noise was significant to the early hours.
In the hotel operations there was a lack of attention to details that should be covered at this price point.

Pretty room, super location, charming village, decent hotel restaurant, great breakfast, good WiFi, friendly and lovely staff.
Shower in our room was a little bit underpowered. Parking a little challenging but to be fair that is clearly flagged and the hotel were very helpful in explaining the car park one way system and where alternatives are if there aren’t any spaces left at the hotel itself.

Room was was a good size and the bathroom was ok
room was old fashioned and tired.
Door rattled when traffic went passed and the lock was ancient and didn't work well or offer much security
Parking is very limited at hotel and in the main square
The food was variable
