Rivers Hotel - Rooms Open - Restaurant Under Refurbishment Until 4 Nov

I was delighted to be upgraded to a room with a beautiful view. The room was very comfortable, and the location was perfect, quiet and well situated.

Nothing in particular

Everything was beautiful and so relaxing. 2nd visit and will definitely be going back again. Manisai was an absolute pleasure and he was super helpful and welcoming.

The gentleman on reception was very helpful indeed. Warm and friendly. He is an asset to the hotel. The river views are gorgous and, overall, bathroom issue aside, the cleanliness and comfort of the room for the price were good. Good communication pre-booking. Location is great if you want to be a little bit out of the centre and if you have a dog. It's a short drive into the city.

So, we stayed exactly a year ago and booked with the same details on the listing this time, and breakfast was included. We had a great stay, hence the return booking. There was no breakfast this time, and the restaurant no longer opens in the morning. In fairness to The Riveralnds, our booking did not state that breakfast was included, and this was my assumption, so it's just to let those who may have visited before know that this is a change. I can't and don't hold The Riverlands responsible for that. If you are taking a dog, even if this is specified on your booking search, be aware that they are welcome, but you will be charged extra when you arrive to check in. We had been advised via the chat ahead of arrival but I suspect only because I'd opened a chat ahead of arrival. Again, just for advice. The reason for the poor rating for cleanliness and the bathroom - a used female sanitary product in the bin and blood down the side of the bin. Ew. Health issue, not just cleanliness. I had to stress that as I'm in a chemically induced menopause due to a hormone receptive cancer, it was certainly not mine!

Friendly staff

To far out of centre as there was no eating facilities or bar to enjoy
