Well situated for the theatre pubs and restaurants and local bus station.
The breakfast room was like a staff canteen.

Conveniently located. It is walking distance to major landmarks. Busses and tram lines are passing in front of the hotel
There are two elevators
Premises looks in good shape, no visible wear and tear
Room size was OK. There are standard amenities including an ironing
Breakfast was just a "not-plated" English breakfast. It is definitely not an continental. Mediocre at best

The location was good and staff were courteous. The breakfast was delicious
I reserved a room 4 months ahead and paid extra because of an event in the city. I got a damp basement room with the couch bed pulled out for my granddaughter so we all had to walk sideways to get around and sleep with our suitcases. The view was looking up to an employee parking lot. My only night in Edinburgh and that was my view. How far ahead of time do I need to get above ground?
