lovely old-world charm with recently refurbished rooms
Spotlessly clean and the downstairs, although older in terms of refurbishment, was really well maintained and everywhere was spotlessly clean.
From calling and speaking to Bex - and all management and staff were great - the jewel in the crown though, had to be Owen - what a star ! - great service and such a nice guy. Recommended the soup !!
Food was good, have to say, waited a while for it though.
The only downside was the cost of the drinks at the bar.
£7+ for Guinness - slightly on the expensive side these days - but £12 for a glass of house Merlot seemed a bit rich. We were celebrating, so partook of the hospitality !! then had a shocker of a bill to pay.
Overall, a nice stay - couldn't fault the service - would stay again,

Well equipped room with comfortable bed and nice shower. The breakfast choices were good and well cooked. The staff were friendly and very helpful and our spaniel Alfie was also made to feel very welcome.
