Beautiful heritage hotel. Our room was well set up with a separate bedroom for our daughter and shared bathroom. Beds were comfortable. On the top level we had a nice view towards the water and the beer garden below. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent and the staff very accommodating and friendly. The town of Dornoch itself is lovely. Not yet smashed as much by mass tourism, parking is not an issue and the locals are all super friendly and accommodating. Both the town and hotel are very genuine.
The room need to be accessed via some steep stairs which whilst not a problem for us might be an issue for people with accessibility limitations. On-site parking was limited but wasn't really an issue as there was plenty available in the surrounding area.

This hotel has such a relaxed atmosphere and such friendly staff. Food is consistently Good (not my first stay!) and whisky bar is fantastic and very reasonably priced.
Bedside light could be brighter but that's my preference.

Very good position in the town.
Rooms in a very old building so of course it is noisy and very creaky floors. The internet on 2nd floor stopped working and after several discussions with the staff and a restart - still no luck. The staff both in restaurant and bar appear to be overworked or just not managed well. Zero cares given for lack of internet working or concerns with the bathroom.
Would not stay again.
