Undergoing renovation but the room we stayed in was recently upgraded. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Food we ate was great quality and memorable. General look and feel was very good.
There was a party on the night we stayed and there was a lot of noise and shouting late evening after we had gone to sleep. The back of the property, which would be first impressions arriving by car, could do with a redec’. The choice on the menu was a bit limited.

The ladies we spoke to were lovely and helpful and gracious with our honest feedback. They supplied a shower mat very quickly for us. Just outside main city centre so was nice and quiet.
Honestly, it was basic considering how much we paid. I've paid less for a stay in a 5 star hotel in London. Had to ask for tea spoons. Not ideal for longer stays as there is a lack of surface and storage space. Old building that needs some work as the floor boards above squeaked and squawked every time someone walked across late at night. Decor was uninspiring and there was a suspicious stain on the carpet next to the bed. TV Didn't work. Didn't do breakfast because it seemed expensive and we'd already paid a lot for the room. We went to a lovely cafe down the road and paid half the price instead. Male member of staff on reception needs some training, quite unprofessional in his derogatory comments on other members of staff who were working hard.

I ran the lochness marathon and it was perfectly located for that and the town centre. The staff were really welcoming and helpful. We had dinner and breakfast both were really good. I would definitely recommend. I was travelling with my husband and 3 children 5, 10 and 12 years old. They loved there stay. They also put an early breakfast on for the marathon runners which I thought was a great option.

Location was great a short walk to the centre and it had parking
3 flights of stairs with our suitcases, room decor was dated and the bathroom could have been cleaner.
