A fantastic place to stay in the heart of Sydney. We’ve just returned home after a wonderful 9-night stay at Meriton Suites Sussex Street, and we couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
Our one-bedroom luxury suite was an excellent choice. Located on a high floor, it was spacious and had plenty of cupboard space for storage, as well as a balcony with lovely views over Darling Harbour. Having a washing machine and dryer in the suite was an added bonus, especially for a longer stay.
The staff were great, and the facilities were excellent. The location is ideal, with Darling Harbour and the Queen Victoria Building both just a short walk away in opposite directions, making it a perfect base for exploring the city.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.
Very minor thing but there were too many sheets on the bed.

Very inviting reception area. Very Friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room and great View. Balcony is a plus. Short Walk to Darling Harbour with several options for dining, attractions and pleasant long walks. Convenience of laundry in the room with laundry sink. Lots of storage in the bathroom. Light foot traffic at the entrance. Elevator system. Quick response for amenities requested. Parking Space not tight. Safe area. Good pool Space. With Limited rooms per floor helps keep noise down
No Luggage rack. No Face towel available. Toiletries in small containers. No swiffer mop for a quick sweep instead of a hand broom and dust pan. Not enough instruction for lift parking and guessing which door will open.

It was very close to George Street, the main street. It's a 5-minute walk from Darling Harbour. In fact, just cross the road, go up the ramp, and over the bridge. Personal opinion: Darling Harbour would be my favourite harbour. After a day out on a tour, it is lovely to relax in the large spa. The property also has a sauna, but I never got around to using it.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and they help with any information.
I had an apartment with a separate bedroom, and it is self-contained with a kitchen and a large living area.
Sadly, I had a couple of rainy days, so it was shopping.
