The view must have been one of the best in Whitby from my bedroom window.....stunning. Breakfast was good but not much for vegetarians. Shower and bed good. Room was poorly decorated apart from the wardrobe.....they should match everything to the quality of the wardrobe. I loved the decor in the downstairs as it was very victorian/steampunk/ 1920s and lovely.
Service in the bar and tea room not very good as I waited 30 mins for a coffee on the terrace then cancelled it and got my money refunded. They were totally overwhelmed as it was busy and the staff couldnt cope.

We had a sea view - absolutely stunning.
Food was 5 stars.
Very old fashioned . No shelves in the bathroom & no hooks for towels except 1 at the top of the door (I couldn’t reach)
