A lovely comfortable stay in a well run house run by very nice people! The breakfast is exceptional, and they were very understanding when I left with my key. They also treated my elderly mother in law v well and found her a ground floor room at short notice. The perfect spot for a whitby break.

This practical B&B is conveniently located close to Whitby's harbour, making it an ideal base for exploring the town. The owner, a true jack-of-all-trades, was extremely efficient in getting us settled and provided excellent advice on the best way to discover Whitby.
Our room was functional, clean, and equipped with comfortable beds. A particular highlight was the view of Whitby Abbey from our bedroom window, which added a touch of Dracula-inspired atmosphere to our visit and made the stay even more memorable.
It was clear that the property had originally been a private house before being converted into a bed and breakfast. This was particularly evident in the layout of the bathroom and toilet, which were accessed through a narrow doorway that appeared to have once been a storage cupboard.
Getting in and out required a degree of agility and would likely prove challenging, or even impractical, for guests with mobility issues. While this did not at all impact our stay, it is something potential visitors should be aware of.

Location was great, literally 2 minute walk into Whitby
The room was not very well equipped, no dressing table so made getting ready a little tricky. Room was a bit tatty, wallpaper ripped from wall in places, also a little bit grubby. Water was extremely hot, to the point my husband almost scalded his hand. Also the information book in the room didnāt mention WiFi password which we only discovered as we checked outā¦ it was displayed on entrance hall cabinet. It just lacked attention to detail
