DIRTY PREMISE ,UNRESPOSIBLE MANAGER,TOTALLY FRAUD
NOTHING
I am writing to formally complain about my experience at CBD Elegance 2 Bedroom Apartment with Pool Gym and City Views and to request a full refund of all amounts paid.
Before providing the keys, the property manager demanded a $300 damage deposit. I attempted to make the payment twice, but on both occasions, my bank flagged the recipient's account as suspicious. The manager subsequently sent me a payment link, through which I made the payment.
Collecting the keys was also inconvenient, as we had to travel several streets away from the property to collect them. There was no convenient parking near the apartment, forcing us to park elsewhere and carry our luggage to the premises.
Upon arrival, we encountered an unpleasant burning smell from the food shops near the entrance. More importantly, the apartment was inadequately cleaned and maintained. The plates were covered in grease, the washing machine door was broken, and the blankets were dirty. The overall condition was unacceptable, and we could not reasonably continue our stay.
We contacted the manager, informed them that we were leaving because of the unacceptable conditions, returned the keys to the same shop where we had collected them, and vacated the property after the first night.
At approximately the same time, my bank's fraud department contacted me regarding the damage deposit transaction and blocked my bank account in connection with the payment.
The manager promised to discuss the matter with the owner and call us back. However, no one contacted us, and the manager has since failed to respond to my calls and messages.
I am still waiting for both my accommodation refund and the return of my $300 damage deposit.
As a result of this experience, I have suffered a financial loss of approximately AUD $1,000, and the incident has significantly disrupted and ruined my holiday.
