We stayed at the Horse & Groom last night & it was just stunning. The room was huge & warm even on a stormy cold night, it was clean and tastefully modern for an old building. We stay for food which was amazing & reasonable priced. The breakfast the next morning was superb. The staff were also so helpful. Don’t hesitate to stay here you won’t find much better.

It was good to be in the heart of a popular and well-run pub, with excellent food and a friendly atmosphere. The room was spacious with a good outlook and windows that could be opened.
Bathroom facilities were not good because of liquid soap sets screwed into the wall too high to access from bath. There was no bath foam and no hard soap. There was no bedside light on one side. The layout of the hotel was difficult for an elderly person.

This is a busy pub in an attractive Cotswold village, working hard on its food offer. Both dinner and breakfast were very good and served by pleasant and helpful staff. The room was large, comfortable, and well-decorated. The bed was comfortable and bedding and towels were clean and good quality.
They need to pay a little more attention to housekeeping. It would have been good to have had mugs in the room for tea rather than the small cups. We could have asked, but the staff were very busy, although on the positive side they gave us a small vacuum flask with proper milk rather than the horrible UHT packs found in most hotels.

Lovely size room and bathroom Lovely outside garden area to rear of property Lovely staff
Evening meal. Shepherds pie not liked (mushy), and served with lump of cold spinach. Breakfast not until 9.30, so unable to have due to time constraints. Bed with hollow areas in mattress. Noisy traffic outside bedroom window. Poor sound TV No bottle of water in room or glasses., and poor drink choice, (fridge), so poor value for 'luxury room'.
