Food was outstanding, generous portions and excellent quality. We had both breakfast and evening meals at The Highway and both were fantastic. The staff were lovely, great customer service. Hotel itself is decorated lovely.
Our room (Boy) was lovely however it was above the dining/kitchen area I think and the sound proofing wasn't amazing. Music/noise could be heard early in the morning and late at night. It is however an old building so you can't really expect silence. I would probably opt to stay on the top floor next time.
Parking is tricky however I think this is the case for all the local areas. Top tip - if you park on the opposite side of the road to the hotel, parking is free and unrestricted. You just have to get lucky with a space.

The staff's attitude - helpful and keen to help
Facilities were not well maintained - the toilet roll holder was already broken and left on the window ledge . Could not find the hairdryer . No box tissue provided. Heater in bathroom not working . Room heater not warm enough. An extra heater was provided . Room lighting too dark .
