A wonderful hotel with a rich historical background. I was delighted to be welcomed by such friendly staff.
I was also pleased to find slippers provided. I’ve stayed at several hotels in the UK, but this was the first time I’d been offered this service.

Lovely room and clean, but windows are old sash windows and we felt uneasy opening them in the hot weather. The room had fans provided. The staff were really friendly and went above and beyond to help, especially leon the dep manager. The bar was nice and plenty of places to sit. The evening meal was really nice slso. Very enjoyable stay, snd would stay again.
