It is an old school hotel with a friendly receptionist, very centeally located. They booked us a taxi and even prepared the breakfast in a paper bag as we had to leave very early.
The small smell of cleaning products in the room that the ventilation was not able to remove.

Staff were wonderful especially Anabela and Emo who provided certified gluten free bread and freshly scrambled eggs every morning. (Celiac Disease)
Catarina, Andrea and Ana on front desk cheerfully helped us with every question or problem.
Central location so we could walk to most places of interest.
Hotel has old-world charm. Love that elevator!
Constant irritating sound of chairs scraping on the floor of the breakfast room/restaurant. Felt foot pads would address the problem and make it much more pleasant.

Pleasant atmosphere.
The air in the room was cold, damp. Had to use a heater because the air, furnishings and bed linens in the room felt cold and damp. Bathroom quite small. But overall, accommodations were satisfactory.
