The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. While every staff member we had contact with was great, two, in particular stand out for always going above and beyond. Elsa and Louisa excellent representatives and stewards of your facility.
While we understand there are building code requirements and necessities we may not be required to utilize, the washroom in our room was clean and bright, but unfortunately the accessibility shower made the bathroom difficult to use, as water would eventually cover the entire floor and everything would be in water unless several towels both ours, and the hotels were needed to contain the water.

Hotel Gaivota was recommended to me by a professional acquaintance. It did not disappoint! Great location across from the Marina. Within walking distance to everything in Ponta Delgada. Yummy, fresh breakfast. Spotless - Very clean. Staff was awesome and helpful. Price was right. I loved it here and will stay again when I go to Ponta Delgada.
Truly, I have nothing bad to say about this hotel.

Staff was kind and very knowledgeable. The hotel is old as we stayed here 40yrs ago, so the building has a very musty and moldy smell.
The run down bldg. moldy and musty smell.

The hotel was kept immaculate, the rooms are comfortable and attractive, the wellness area is an added amenity.
Everything was fine.
