August 2026 - We've been traveling from Berlin via Austria and Switzerland down to Nice, all by train, and staid in partly beautiful and partly "interesting" accommodations. Maison Durante was the first (and only) one where my husband and I felt not only honestly welcome, but almost as if they've been waiting for us to arrive, so they could treat us like a king and queen - it was FANTASTIC.
Location, rooms, yard, small gifts and oooooh, le petit déjeuner... ❤️❤️❤️ If I could, I'd beam myself to their breakfast room daily. What a goddamn treat.
We canceled the hotel in Cannes that we booked for our last night just to stay in Nice and their second hotel, LAMARTINE, for another 24 hours (because DURANTE was full and only a short walk away). It has a slightly different vibe (more urban), but the staff, comfort and hospitality was just as fabulous and I can (and will!) highly recommend both houses... chef's kiss! 👌🏽
Merci pour tout et à bientôt!

Very conveniently located, tucked away in an alley and benefitting from a charming courtyard for lounging outdoors (weather permitting). Love the mini artisans market they organized on a Sat. afternoon.
Be aware that room No. 1 is right at the entrance of the hotel and on top of the reception. So there may be some foot traffic going in and out of the hotel (but not a problem for an early riser).

Quiet location and really near to the train station.
Bed was comfortable.
A few issues with the bedrooms. Air con leaking and drain smell.
