I stayed for 5 nights at Zamzam Pullman Makkah, and the location is perfect. I loved it.
Breakfast: There were plenty of options, but fresh fruit and fresh juices should be added to the menu. Watermelon was the only fresh fruit available during my entire stay.
Room: At check-in, several essentials were missing: bathroom amenities, a floor mat, and enough towels and glasses. There was only one hand towel for two guests and only one glass. The staff replaced everything immediately, which I appreciated.
Overall: A great location and helpful staff. With a better room check before arrival and a few additions to the breakfast menu, it would be an excellent stay.
A wider choice of fresh fruit and fresh juices would improve it a lot.
There was also no hand wash at the basin. A bottle of hand lotion had been placed there instead. When I asked housekeeping for hand wash, I was told to use the shower gel from the bathroom. Putting out hand wash would be a simple fix.
During peak prayer times, lifts were very slow to arrive. On one occasion it took about half an hour to get from my floor to the ground floor. Using the escalator from the 11th floor to ground floor is not realistic, especially when traveling with elderly companions.
