Location
Lobby smelled like cigarettes, always
Lobby closed on a Saturday at 10pm but stopped serving at 9:35, and couldn’t bring drinks to our room
Room smelled like an old musty hotel room, despite being redone

It was a good hotel option to stay in kyoto, it is 5 mins walk from kyoto station . You can get all the bus train to near by area easily. Public onsen was really good. Staff was polite and helpful.
Room was a bit cramped. It could have been designed in much better way.

Great looking hotel from the outside. Clean facility, close to the train station. Helpful staff regardless of the language barrier. Nice lobby, onsen was good, not great.
Just not happy with the room for the price, the room was tiny. Bike rental was expensive and a bit complicated to use.
