Everything, easy to find, all staff welcoming and friendly. Lovely feature room overlooking the Exe, well appointed bathroom. Very well stocked mini bar/goodies which if you wanted you of course had to pay for, but tea, coffee biscuits all free and fresh milk too, thank you! We ate in the restaurant in the evening, really good menu, wide choice (it was very busy for mid'week) and breakfast excellent in the morning. Will definitely try more St Austell pubs with accommodation as we were so impressed - also had the best night's sleep I have had for a long time too!

The room was comfortable and very clean. Dinner was acceptable but service was very slow.

The River was very nice outside.
I had a room overlooking the road rather than the river and it had a fixed to the ceiling shower which is fine for a man but ladies don’t always want to get their hair soaked every time they shower. It was a bit of a walk to the town from there too. I paid a lot of money for no river view and a 1 night week night stay. There were snacks in the room but there was a price list for them.. The bed was not that comfortable.. so didn’t sleep very well. The room was very cold when I arrived also.
