The staff are exceptional, food was excellent, beds really comfortable and the location idyllic.
Sitting in front of the beautiful log fire in the main entrance but the main door doesn’t close automatically so it was cold until we or the staff got up to close it every time a guest walked through. Some of the furniture or wall paper was damaged and we had a couple of chipped cups. Some of the rugs and carpets could do with replacing.
