The hotel was in an excellent location in Ambleside near everything. The staff were nice and helpful, the hotel was clean and the spa was very nice especially the outside pool.
I enjoyed my breakfast but the evening meal wasn’t what I expected.
The meals felt a bit rushed at times.

The check in, the stay and the check out
Car parking is a bit of a tight squeeze but the staff were really helpful sorting out the parking

Fabulous location
The rooms are looking a bit tired and the breakfast was not on the level it was in previous years

Good location and maintained well, food good and staff polite.
The sauna and steam room in the bedroom suite didn’t work on any day…. Which we had paid a lot for.
Bath was filthy.
Hotel would not give any compensation, but Booking.com did… thanks team
