This is a very special place. Indeed in the middle of nowhere a Juwel of a Hotel. The single file road towards the hotel is a bit of an adventure itself but well worth it.
Exceptional staff, very nice rooms and a spectacular restaurant.

Wonderful staff, and a gorgeous room in fabulous surroundings. The dogs loved all the walks
The road there is not for the faint hearted! Thankfully we didn't meet much traffic coming the other way....
And although the hotel does allow dogs, we were only allowed to eat in the bar or conservatory with them which meant we were often seated alone.

Great location and very nicely appointed room.
Lovely hotel.
A bit too formal! Lot of pomp and circumstance, but not always met with the best service. The country house restaurant/ not Michelin rated could be improved if there were proper tables and chairs available to eat your meal.
Reception staff though were excellent .

Lovely location and a clean, comfortable room with excellent bathroom. Delicious breakfast.
Added non-optional service charges for serving breakfast! Also for serving a drink ordered at the bar. No response to my email about this.
Was booked as a special occasion for my parent’s diamond wedding anniversary and mother’s birthday. No acknowledgment of this by anyone, despite my request on booking and offer to pay for flowers/fizz/anything!
