The dark moody vide room was lovely filled all my gothic needs bathroom clean hot powerful shower with shampoo and shower gel no conditioner hairdryer not many pug points but it’s an old building when I go back to York I will definitely say at the fat badger again the location is very central
I am disabled and the staff did everything to help me gave me a first floor room offered to carry my walker/ chair upstairs

It's in an excellent location right in the centre of town.
Quaint little pub with tastefully decorated rooms.
Everything provided, kettle, hairdryer, iron and ironing board.
Proper tea (Yorkshire) and tasty biscuits.
The staff were lovely, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
We couldn't work out how to turn the bathroom light off (the one by the shower)
The bed was a tad soft for me but that's just personal preference and I still slept well.
It can get a bit raucous outside at the weekend but that's to be expected in the centre of town.
