The location was good for walking into town and to get to other tourist attractions (Balmoral etc) and the daily breakfast was good. The bed was also incredibly comfortable.
Our room required some serious TLC, the heating did not work, only the bottom bar of the towel rail got hot in the bathroom and the radiator in the room did not turn on at all, so there was a plug in heater to use. The chandelier also was quite dusty.

I booked this hotel for several colleagues. They were all happy with the hotel and said it was very comfortable, with comfortable beds. The staff were very welcoming. It is in a lovely location and within easy walking distance of shops/restaurants in Banchory
The hotel was very warm but apparently it did cool down as the evening went on and colleagues were able to open the windows.

It was near where we needed to be. The staff were friendly and the meals excellent. The room and rest of the hotel was very clean.
The bedside light and heating weren’t working. The light on the dressing table had no bulb. Tried to find a member of staff to help other than the waitresses, but couldn’t after 7pm. The lift wasn’t working unless a member of staff was with you. The shower was poor.

"The room was large and spacious. Large picture window with a window seat. Lighting was good. The restaurant is lovely and the food very good. All staff are very friendly. Lots of chairs to sit out in ..."
