The history of the hotel was amazing and we enjoyed exploring the various rooms. Very well decorated and comfortable surroundings. The grounds were extensive and pretty. The bedrooms were well appointed and maintained and the facilities in the room were excellent. A lovely view of the countryside and church from the stable accommodation. We loved trying to find the Queen Elizabeth 1 tree!
There was a wedding on which spilled out from a private function room so the bar got a little busy later on.

Everything, it’s an amazing building decorated beautifully. The grounds are beautiful and kept really nice, there are even deer wandering around. Food was delicious, staff were friendly and very professional.
It’s only a small thing… meals in the restaurant were the same every night. I think they could at least have a specials board that changes every night.

Great location with absolutely stunning grounds. Our room in the stables was lovely but very small. Plenty of parking spaces.
Breakfast was terrible. It was burnt, lukewarm and had literally been dumped on the plate. Both the teapot and coffee pot were cracked and the breakfast set up was poor, the area needs modernising, it is very dated. The staff at breakfast were not very good either.
Needless to say we didn't bother with breakfast on the second morning.
