Breakfast was nice and the staff were friendly. It was a great location near to the lake and close to all restaurants and pubs nearby, as well as the local parking which I'd always use over the expensive hotel one. The spa was great and looked quite new in parts, which helped after long days of hiking
The hotel parking at £25 per night is ridiculous and poorly advertised when booking. The wifi in my room specifically was very poor. The property in general probably needs a bit of a refresh. I booked a family room because it was the only room left available, but when I arrived as a solo traveller they tried to downgrade me to a smaller room without any money back. I raised this and got reinstated to my original room, which was fine

Loved how there was a mixture of ages in the hotel. Hotel had old and newer feel to it. Lovely spa area and friendly staff.
No jacuzzi in the spa.
