We were in Conwy for a guided tour of the castle. Although we couldn't check in as we had to be there at lunch time we were able to leave our car in the car park and check in after the tour. The staff were really helpful and pleasant. The room and bathroom were excellent and looked liked they had recently been refurbished. The bed was large and very comfortable. There were plenty of toiletries and even face cloths and a bathmat for inside the bath. There was a good choice on the breakfast menu and it was cooked to order which was nice as in a lot of places it can be a buffet style so the food may have been standing for a while. There was also a good choice of Continental style foods and plenty of fruit juice. We didn't have an evening meal there so can't comment about that. We would definitely stay again.
There wasn't a socket where the kettle was but there were plenty of others around the room. The controls for the television were a little tricky to get used to.

Love the character in bedroom and views from window. All of Castle hotel is lovely.
So much nicer than a modern hotel.
Breakfast was buffet and staff bringing hot breakfast choice from menu, good breakfast time too instead of having to rush eatng food and be out of restaurant.

Our room,202, was spacious and quite well appointed. We liked the window seat, although it was quite small. The coffee machine was welcome although we had to guess how to use it without any instructions. Plenty of other tea/coffee etc. A roomy wardrobe , with poorly hung doors , but a bit short on drawer space. Fairly large T V, but again, no instructions on how to use the 2 controls. Couple of extra chairs provided which were useful.
Bathroom of ample size with a radiator that really warmed it up. Large bath with shower over and it was nice to see a grab handle. A good range of toiletries, and ample towels. We liked the optional low level lighting, useful for middle of the night visits! All in all, a comfortable room.
Had a meal one night in the restaurant, the food was good with plenty of choice.
We had booked for a 3 night stay, but left after two. We found the bed really uncomfortable and ended up with backache. The pillows were what I call 'dead'. We did get one changed but it wasn't much better. Decided to call it quits and head home. This was a shame as we had enjoyed our stay up then, and a previous stay had been fine.
