The staff were exceptionally friendly and nothing too much trouble. The food was first class ...food high standard and piping hot. Overall a lovely place to stay.
The gym equipment and sauna ...4 items of equipment but 2 worked. The sauna wasn't working either.

the hotel and the staff were great, the bar menu even though limited was great and speedy service. breakfast also good, exactly what i expected i got.
was disappointed with booking.com. i specifically put i am travelling with my wife and needa cot. it difnt clock my wife on the booking so the hotel charged me an extra £30 for her to stay in the room? which was really annoying,.

Newby Bridge Hotel is in a lovely spot close to Lake Windermere. The reception was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast on our first morning stay was very good with a hearty full english breakfast. The bathroom was clean and well equipt.
Unfortunately the bedroom was disappointing. Our view from the bedroom window consisted of a network of fire escapes and the television had an extremely poor signal which made this unwatchable. The lamp on the desk had a wiring issue and wouldnt always work but was needed as the room did not have good lighting. On our second night stay there was a power cut and therefore no hot breakfast food was available including tea or coffee. We packed our things and left earlier than we would have.
