Brilliant location in centre of the village, with great views from room. Having restaurant below was ideal and food excellent along with a fantastic breakfast in the morning with a great range of choice. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Clean contemporary room, attention to detail, very friendly helpful staff.

Pillows were a little lumpy but still a great night's sleep.

The actual lodging is excellent. Superb choice of breakfast and a fabulous room. Staff are great too.

The reason I marked the score down is because of the parking. You cannot park at the premises as it's for resident disc holders only. This is until 6.00 pm. Then if you're extremely lucky you may get one of those spaces. But if you do park in a resident disc space you need to be moved by 9.00 am. The parking ticket attendant is very aware of this and likely to give you a ticket if you don't move at 9.00. Previous stays I could park in the village carpark free after 6.00 pm until 9.00 am and I could put a ticket on my car for an hour the night before and it would start at 9.00 am. This is no longer the case. It's, 24 hours pay for Parking now. So my stay cost me an extra £9.50 a night to park my car which overall was £28.50 on the cost of my little break. If you stayed a week then you'll have to prepare for an extra £66.50 in the cost of your holiday. Be aware of that. For this reason I'll be looking elsewhere in future and that is a shame because I love the place but do not like being ripped off by parking companies! This needs addressed by all the local businesses putting pressure in the council to support some sort of parking discount for local businesses. Although I think my rant will probably have no effect on visitor numbers in reality. Just this one visitor I suspect..☹️
