Location was key. Loved the classic vibe.
Room was small but to be expected given the age and location.

Thomas was a charm at the front desk! I thank him for his superb hospitality toward me. The old building charm with its original hallways and staircases were great to stay preserved even under renovation and love the executive lounge option and gym, too!
Lots of velvet material and carpeted rooms that may give off a dusty musty smell. Opening the windows helps a lot!

The room was gorgeous, the bathroom had a bath with shower and was small but enough. The decor, bed and furnishings were lovely. The view was the wall opposite the terrace so new view but it felt like a 4 star hotel. The breakfast was good, the location was central and excellent for sights, restaurants and a couple of supermarkets as well as the Metro. The reception staff made the whole experience for me. Morten Andreassen and Thomas Brunse went the extra mile and were super smiley and polite and helpful answering all of my questions about the sights, the city, the History and the Royal Family. Very passionate and knowledgeable and they didn't seem to mind this crazy lady asking so much! They had maps to help, info on supermarkets and local public transport too. All the staff were helpful and polite but those two especially.
It was just expensive for one night in a hotel. I don't know the usual price or if it was more expensive because it was a weekend and also the half marathon that weekend? The steps at the front with your luggage then the long corridors were a trek and still some steps even after the lift going up.
