The history and the care of the building are impressive. Each room is thoughtfully decorated and immaculate. Excellent location and walkable distance to food and city attractions.

It’s one my favorite boutique hotels in Amsterdam for me and always like to stay. The hotel is very stylish and makes on feel like they are at home.
The open buffet breakfast was nice.
The reception staff were helpful.
The bar and lounge area are great to chill and spend time.
The rooms can be a tight squeeze but this is common in kpst Amsterdam hotels.
I think the hotel can be more accomodating when comes to late check out requests.
The prices were quite high and also breakfast at 24.50euros is a lot.
The room heating is not great and didnt give the feeling it worked. Good thing wasn’t that cold during the stay.

Clean, well kept and located centrally
Unhelpful staff over the phone, I had to call multiple times to get the address of the parking garage and yet the address was sent very late by message.
A short 1 hour late checkout is apparently not possible (for free or for a fee) unless you pay for a 3 hours later checkout, which we were not interested in. This seems somewhat inadequate for a hotel of this standing.
