We had an exceptionally early arrival time to Samarkand (0500 hrs). The staff were able to open the locked gate and accommodate us. We were able to stay in a temporary guest room until our room was ready. They also helped us with setting up taxis.
The location is perfect for visiting Registan square and the market. A very easy few minutes walk and there are many eateries around, plus a small supermarket.
We also had one of the best breakfast here while in Uzbekistan. Coffee was nice and strong and the pancakes freshly cooked.

We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to this wonderful family, who made us feel not merely like guests, but as though we were part of their home throughout our stay. The hosts’ genuine warmth, kindness, hospitality, and thoughtful attention to every little detail transformed our stay into an experience far beyond ordinary accommodation.
The house was exceptionally clean, well-organized, comfortable, and peaceful. The care and thoughtfulness put into every aspect of the home made us feel completely at ease and safe. However, what truly made this place special was not only the beauty of the house itself, but also the hosts’ sincere approach and the warmth with which they made us feel valued and welcomed. Thanks to their attentiveness, genuine kindness, and willingness to help, we felt comfortable, happy, and cared for throughout our entire trip.
Sometimes, what we take away from a journey is not just the beauty of the places we visit, but also the kindness of the people we meet and the feelings they leave in our hearts. For us, this home was exactly such a place. We will always remember the heartfelt hospitality that became part of our beautiful travel memories.
We sincerely thank them for everything. We would wholeheartedly recommend this lovely home to anyone visiting the area, without the slightest hesitation. If we have the opportunity to return, we would be delighted to stay here again. Our stay at Islam Khodja Khiva was within the walled city and it was such a beautiful experience to walk around, experience the local Bazaar Minarets and imagine what life would have been in the early centuries in this beautiful UNESCO city.
The stay was cozy & comfortable. Good breakfast. Well located.
