The place was easy to find with a short walk from the train station. Just on the other side of the river from the main part of town, it was enjoyable to walk to and from town in a quick 5-10 walk while being far enough away to avoid the noises of bars and the like. The room was large and comfortable. We had a room with a kitchenette, so we were able to keep leftovers and reheat them easily. Parking was offered, though we didn't have a car until the day we left when we rented one to drive from Bath to the Cotswolds.
The only downside isn't something that can really be addressed, but the way sound carried in the building made any conversations in the main area very easy to hear and our room was right at the main entrance, so any comings and goings were heard. It's not a fault, just a feature of being in a big, old house.

Lovely old property with lots of character. Excellent location. Free parking. Nice decor, clean, and pretty quiet, considering it is on a main road. Easy check in & out
When I booked my confirmation said we had paid extra to book the Brunel apartment. However we were allocated a different room within the main house. Whilst the room was adequate and had it's own kitchen area, it was considerably smaller than the Brunel suite looked and I'm not sure we got value for money.
The shower was a bit of a faff to get it running at the correct temperature and pressure was just about adequate. A more modern shower would have been better received.
I found the bed very hard and woke with back ache, although it suited my partner.

Room was comfortable and clean. Close to city centre, 5 min walk.
There was no breakfast offered. Nor food or drink as advertised. Wasn't even told about the upstairs kitchen that we spotted. Wasn't shown the shared lounge or TV area.
