Beautiful, comfortable hotel in excellent central location. Very friendly staff.
Only very minor things. A light in wardrobe would help when using the kettle/coffee maker as quite difficult to see.
The bedside tables are very attractive but drawer is difficult to open.

The location couldn’t be better with a view of the Abbey and a leafy park from our window. The staff were friendly and genuinely keen to help, with particular credit to the reception staff who helped with a booking.com issue, and to the bar manager who was a lovely mix of unobtrusive and attentive. Being brand new, the hotel was in great condition. Excellent shower.
Our room, Classic with a View, was very small. Usually when booking rooms for city breaks we wouldn’t be concerned about room size as we’re out and about so much, but this room was quite impractical. We couldn’t both walk past the end of the bed so had to take turns if we wanted to cross the room. The bathroom was so petite you couldn’t potter in there without closing the door. With the limited possessions we had with us for two nights, the space felt congested. I’d expect this for a room described as Cosy but the Classic room should be more functional. Neither of us slept very well, in part because the room was so warm at night. There were no heaters to turn down so it seemed like some kind of hotel-wide aircon system on heat mode? And the bed wasn’t uncomfortable as such but seemed to slope a bit, I think because of the mattress topper. I nearly rolled out of bed twice. The bar is a lovely space but just needed the lights dimming in the evening. It felt a bit like when the lights have been turned up to signal drink-up time, even though it wasn’t.

Great location near the station and city center. Comfortable room, modern, great staff tha go above and beyond and very kind.

Continental breakfast was really good but would have been nice to have an option for cooked food, room was great although small for us as a couple. We would have booked a larger room with hindsight, our room didn't have any storage room or drawers, probably more suited to a single person staying
Lack of storage space in our room, no cooked breakfast option
