This hotel is very well located, being about a five-minute walk from Grand Central Station. Our room was large and comfortable. The staff were all pleasant, friendly and very helpful.
The breakfast was below par. The fruit choices were very limited and included a lot of chopped apple, which was spongy in texture. There was just one type of pastry, an apple turnover. No croissants nor Danish pastries, etc. The food from the “hot” breakfast buffet was merely tepid and completely cold by the time we’d finished eating. To be honest, I expected table service with a cooked breakfast menu from a five-star hotel.
We had coffee and scones in the hotel cafe also. These were very nice indeed, but vastly overpriced at just under £30 for four coffees and two scones. This included a 10% service charge.

This hotel was lovely, very classy, great location and loved the rooms. The observatory is a big attraction. Friendly staff!

The decor was lovely and it gave a nice cosy feeling while still being clean and fancy. The staff were lovely and helpful! The room was lovely, although the shower door didn’t seem to close properly.
The lift service was strange.. 4 lifts, with one out of service and 1 priority to the observatory place. The other two lifts just kept skipping our floor.. we waited 10 minutes before giving up and trying to find the stairs.

The room was spacious and offered a lovely view. The location was excellent, with everything conveniently within walking distance.
The breakfast selection was quite limited, consisting mainly of a traditional fry, cereals, a small selection of cold cuts, and a few pastries. We expected a wider variety, especially from a hotel of this standard.
Another disappointment was the shower in our room. Water leaked from underneath the shower door, leaving the rest of the bathroom floor flooded every time we showered. This was quite inconvenient and definitely something that needs attention.
