Very quaint and elegant decor, excellent location close to downtown - but it is close enough to the Tenderloin and what that brings
Rooms were a bit small, and the room we had was next door to the only elevator. The elevator makes a sort of banging noise when it is in operation - and you WILL hear it all night if you are a light sleeper

The bed was comfortable and the shower was fine. The proximity to the Curran Theater was fantastic – right across the street. The top restaurant on the corner was delightful as well.
I expected a coffee maker in the room and there was none. I expected a face cloth and there was none. It would also have been nice if there was some kind of HVAC system, even if it was fan only. As it was, it was incredibly warm in the room and in order to get any air, we had to keep the window open, which meant it was very noisy throughout the night. While I loved the proximity to the theaters it’s very very noisy so earplugs are recommended.
