The staff was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful, especially Pam who gave us a bunch of recommendations for local spots to check out. Rooms were clean and very large. Didn’t get a chance to use the fitness center and/or spa area but it was nice to know it was there.
The area nearby is nice in most directions. You can end up in a rough part of town if you aren’t sure of where you’re going, but the other directions have plenty of great food and public spaces.

I was pretty happy with my stay here. Apparently it's a timeshare place, but I just booked it as a hotel. Since I was working in SF for six nights, the Donatello was ideal: centrally located to transit (I took BART, Muni, and CalTrain), equipped with a kitchenette space, and with a water bottle filler just a few doors down from my room. Overall, I was happy with the room, though communication about some aspects of my stay was confusing. I had no idea if/when my room would be cleaned, for instance, and there was no booklet of information in the room. The room was cleaned once during the trip, and though the hotel confirmed a second cleaning would occur, no one from housekeeping showed up to do it on the scheduled day. Also, the Expedia description says there's a business center, but there isn't one, so I had to reach out to the front desk about a print job. They did it with no issue, however.

They clean every two or three days so make sure you ask if you need more frequent or towel changes.
Very nice place to stay minus the phone call I received trying to get me to partake in a time share. If they direct you to another counter at check in just don’t go lol.
Otherwise it’s centrally located near everything. Clean and tidy. We had a dishwasher and utensils with a fridge in ours and microwave.
Comfortable stay !
