The “Rote Nest,” located in the modernly renovated farmhouse “Elsternest,” is a comfortable ground-floor vacation rental with a separate entrance. Enjoy the peace and quiet, and take advantage of our sauna, the lockable bike storage room (with an e-bike charging station), and the cozy outdoor area. Your perfect getaway!

Experience pure relaxation between the Lusatian Lake District and the Upper Lusatian heath and pond landscape. Our three vacation rentals—our “nests”—offer you a comfortable home, whether you’re traveling as a family, a couple, or with friends. Enjoy the natural beauty of the surroundings and take day trips to the Lusatian Lake District or the heath and pond landscape, connected to the Upper Lusatian Highlands with its thousand-year-old capital, Bautzen.
Your “Red Nest” – Comfort on the first floor (approx. 42 m²):
It is a spacious, wheelchair-accessible vacation apartment with its own entrance, a bedroom, a bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen with a dining table.
Underfloor heating:
Underfloor heating throughout the entire vacation apartment ensures your feet stay nice and warm.
Can be combined:
Our three “Nests” can be connected via the shared stairwell. This provides access to the sauna and the Easter egg workshop (however, this area is not wheelchair-accessible and is therefore not suitable for wheelchair users).
Sorbian Easter Egg Workshop:
Upon request, you can book a class where you can learn to decorate Sorbian Easter eggs using wax techniques (wax batik and wax embossing).
Optional services:
- Crib (ages 0–3) 23.98 EUR per stay
