Breakfast was excellent. The hotel was one of the cleanest I have ever experienced. Wifi fast. Location right in the heart of Funchal and 5 min walk from a multi-story carpark.
The only issue was that we had booked a room with a balcony but were given a room without. We did receive a refund for the difference but it was a bit disappointing nonetheless.

Location great, breakfast excellent, staff were lovely and helpful, room was very nice
No towel rails so nowhere at all to hang wet towels. This is basic stuff!
Extremely difficult to communicate with hotel before we arrived as nobody is there after 3pm
Nobody there for evening checkin so needlessly complicated and stressful
There is a bar but nobody mans it in the evening so what's the point of it?

We felt very welcome. The staff were very helpful and friendly, especially Hugo with the strong recommendations and liaising before and during our stay. It's very clean. The atmosphere was very chilled and the decor was beautiful. The location was perfect - central to the old town and a short walk to the marina, the courtyard was a lovely escape from the busy town, and the breakfast was nice with a variety of hot and cold options. There was even gluten free options.

Super Lage in der Altstadt
Deluxe DZ war sehr klein. Es gab nahezu keinen Stauraum für Kleidung. Die schöne Terrasse konnte nicht zum frühstücken genutzt werden.
