It had character and the room was spacious and beds super comfy. Around the pool was never very busy which was great. The Madeira, cake and coffee at reception was welcome after a day's sight seeing. The breakfast room in the adjoining hotel was lovely and the outside area very lush in the gardens.
The room would have benefited from having a second chair so we could both sit comfortably. We were looking forward to a massage at the spa as described but it was not available anymore. The spa was very underwhelming.

Very friendly staff, welcoming reception with drinks and quiet. Good to use that pool and not sister hotels.
A small thing but the taps on the shower were low down which seemed a bit odd.

We stayed in a room by the swimming pool. Everywhere was very clean. Complementary food & drinks at reception were a nice touch. Staff were friendly in this small hotel. We had breakfast at the nearby Miramar Hotel and a couple of evening meals. The food and service at the restaurant here was exceptional. We also used the 2 swimming pools at the Miramar Hotel.
In a busy location. Difficult for buses & taxis to pick you up or drop you off at car park. It was a bit of a trek to get to breakfast in the Hotel Miramar

The cleaning and room service was very good
The room was fair opening on to the swimming pool
This box isn’t big enough
Some of the staff were not very responsive
When I book a hotel with these prices I expect some sort of amenities, bar, restaurant, night porter. Not have to walk to a sister hotel and at night have to walk 100’s of yards to get back to my room and at the age of 76 I expect a lift to my room not have to walk up flights of stairs. Going to the only bar in the evening it was 3 lift and a walk across a bridge ( outside)
